The Near of Extinction of Christianity

My heart is heavy today and has been for several weeks now as our pastor has preached some of his most heartfelt messages from the pulpit. I just want to start by saying that I thank my God for pastors that preach truth! I once read the following quote: "Christianity is only one generation away from extinction"....it was the kind of quote I wanted to push far from my mind. Over the past few weeks, our pastor has preached a series of sermons called, "Offend not the little ones". The scriptural context for these sermons can be found in "Matthew 18:6" and "Ephesians 6:4". During the context of each of these sermons he has quoted a staggering statistic...."In the generations to come, only 4% will be christians"...I don't know about you, but this makes me feel an urgency to go out and minister to my friends and family as never before! BUT...as our pastor says, in order to do this we must prepare ourselves first for the task entrusted to us by developing our own personal relationship with Christ through our prayer life and the reading of his Word. I hope you are as challenged as I am to take part in changing this statistic for the better thru Jesus Christ!

WOW That is scary to think about.
I cant see that happening though. There are 2 billion Christians in the world now & I don't see how a religion could go from 2 billion to 0 in only one generation. unless the governments started persecution Christians on a global level?

"What one generation allows in moderation, the next accepts in excess." It won't be long Dina without a great awakening. Exodus 20:4-6
